Job Purpose
Visual Merchandiser is overseeing the aesthetic and attractive appearance of our brand retail stores and other business operations of relevance. He/She will be responsible to plan to increase the footfall of the store by attractively displaying products and merchandise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist VM manager and brand defining, designing, and implementing a creative visual merchandising strategy.
- Control Day-to-day operations of visual merchandising and display areas to ensure quality of merchandise categories, following display and visual merchandising standards and guideline to support brand strategy.
- Create floor plans for retail space, pop-up space, external promotion space and situate displays in an ideal position to encourage sales, combining marketing strategy with a creative approach to sales in order to promote the brand’s image visually.
- Create appealing window displays, mannequins, signs, and promotional displays that attract target customers into the store
- Producing window displays, signs, interior displays, and special promotions displays.
- Managing suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliverable of all VM materials can be utilized as plan.
- Act in alignment to the Corporate Identity of Brands, products, image, and target market.
- Oversee the production and brief staff on arranging displays.
- Research lifestyle, demographics, and design trends.
- Monitor costs and work within budget.
- Provide Training for sales associates and retail managers.
- Provide VM guidelines materials to the retail team.
- Store Opening: Prepare and set up for new and pop-up store openings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in visual merchandise, creative design, or related field.
- Have Knowledge in visual merchandising.
- Solid understanding in innovative visual merchandising trends and shopper experience.
- VM member management.
- Knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design tools.
- Good command of English communication (Writing, reading, speaking, listening).
- Able to work flexible hours outside of normal hours or off-site in necessary situations, such as installing work after a department store has closed, inspecting the quality of contractors’ work at a production plant, or traveling to open branches in other provinces or abroad, as appropriate.
