A Store Sales Trainee supports daily retail operations while learning essential sales and customer service skills. The role involves assisting customers, understanding their needs, recommending suitable products, and helping maintain an organized and appealing store environment. Trainees also learn product knowledge, handle basic sales transactions, support inventory activities, and work closely with senior staff to develop into a full-fledged sales associate.

Job responsibilities

• Greet and assist walk-in customers, especially Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
• Deliver clear product explanations and demonstrations in Chinese when required.
• Support senior sales associates in closing sales.
• Handles basic customer queries, issues, and returns.
• Maintain a tidy, organized, and visually appealing store layout.
• Assist in replenishing stock on shelves and updating product tags.

Key Requirements

• Proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese (spoken; written is a plus).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Passion for retail sales and dealing with customers.
• Able to work in shifts, weekends, and retail hours (depending on store).

Preferred Skills

• Experience in retail, sales, or customer service is an advantage.
• Ability to translate or communicate product details effectively in Mandarin.
