Senior Marketing Supervisor (The North Face)

Overview

The Senior Marketing Supervisor is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering end-to-end marketing initiatives for The North Face, covering the full process from ideation → production → communication → measurement. This role is highly hands-on, with the ability to execute independently, minimize reliance on agencies, and ensure brand quality aligns with global guidelines while being relevant to local market insights.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign & Project Execution (Hands-on)

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns across brands, products, retail, digital, and event channels.
  • Localize global campaign toolkits and concepts for the Thai market.
  • Manage projects end-to-end, including briefing, execution, delivery, and post-campaign wrap-up.
  • Control timelines, budgets, and quality standards for each project.

Content & Creative Production (In-house First)

  • Conceptualize and produce content independently for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LINE OA)
  • Develop campaign key messages, captions, and storytelling.
  • Manage retail communication materials such as POP and in-store messaging.
  • Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and designers (freelance or internal).
  • Execute basic creative work independently, including content layout, simple artwork, and shoot briefing.

Digital & Performance Marketing (Execution-driven)

  • Plan and manage basic digital media execution independently (e.g. boosted posts, basic ads, influencer seeding).
  • Collaborate with E-commerce, Marketplace, and Retail teams to drive sales performance.
  • Analyze campaign performance using real data (reach, engagement, sell-through).

Influencer / Athlete / Community Marketing

  • Select, manage, and coordinate with influencers, athletes, and outdoor communities.
  • Plan and execute community activities such as run clubs, hiking, and trail events.
  • Ensure brand image and tone of voice are consistent with The North Face brand DNA.

Retail & Trade Marketing

  • Support retail marketing activities such as store openings, visual merchandising campaigns, and seasonal promotions.
  • Work closely with Retail and Sales teams to connect marketing initiatives with sell-out results.
  • Audit and improve in-store execution to ensure alignment with brand standards.

Agency Management (When Needed)

  • Engage agencies only when necessary (e.g. large-scale production or media scaling).
  • Write clear briefs, manage execution, and professionally evaluate agency performance.
  • Avoid dependency on agencies for strategic thinking or decision-making.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare practical and actionable campaign performance reports.
  • Analyze insights and apply learnings to future initiatives.
  • Confidently discontinue ineffective activities and scale what works.

Key Skills & Competencies

Must-Have

  • Strong hands-on and self-driven working style.
  • Ability to independently manage projects end-to-end without relying on agencies.
  • Solid understanding of both brand building and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong multitasking and project management capabilities.
  • Clear communicator with decisive decision-making and ownership of results.

Technical / Practical Skills

  • Content creation and storytelling.
  • Basic design skills and creative sensibility.

Digital and social media execution

  • Campaign planning and budget control.
  • Data interpretation (advanced analytics not required, but strong practical understanding is essential).

Experience & Background

  • 2–4 years of experience in Marketing, Brand, Digital, or Retail roles.
  • Experience with Fashion, Outdoor, or Lifestyle brands is a strong advantage.
  • In-house, startup, or lean team experience is preferred.
  • Proven portfolio or real case studies with hands-on execution (not coordination-only roles).

Desired Mindset

  • “Execute first, optimize later” rather than waiting for perfection.
  • Think and act like a brand owner, not just a coordinator.
  • Respect brand DNA while understanding local market realities.
  • Open to learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Success Metrics

  • On-time delivery of campaigns with high execution quality.
  • Improved engagement, awareness, and sell-through performance.
